On this day, when the electoral college voted at last, and gave us an official President Elect, we had other news as well.Â
A new vaccine punctured the arms of health workers across the country, even while the death toll from COVID-19 hit the 300,000 mark. Our attorney general resigned. And still the lawsuits continue and dust is still being kicked up somewhere, in the name of some legal theory or another.
One can’t even begin to make coherent sentences to describe it.
The arcane electoral college, which almost no one understands, aligned somehow with the popular vote, just as Jupiter aligns with Mars in the Age of Aquarius. Science pricked a pinhole of light in the darkness of this pandemic with its hypodermic needle. And even the greatest of loyalists have fallen by the wayside, rather than be torn asunder by the teeth of the Constitution’s relentless machinery.Â
All is working well. Yet all is not well, as we watch the numbers climb a vertical wall with no summit in sight.
In this nonsensical time, nonsense is said and nonsense believed.Â
I hope you enjoy my own nonsense. Thanks for coming by to read.  Â
Byzantine.
Libertine.
New vaccine.
Resignation.
Electoral.
Quite amoral.
Un-pastoral.
Accreditation.
Learn the law.
Tooth and claw.
Spin and yaw.
Dull tradition.
Long in tooth.
Old, forsooth!
Dodge the truth.
Plot sedition.
Lie, confuse.
Cheat, abuse.
Fast and loose.
Late the hour.
Write the check.
Wring the neck.
What the heck–
Cling to power.

Yeah, we’re pretty much in the land of Jabberwocky.
