I'll keep this short as there are several new poems below for you to peruse.
|
The first and most recent is called Democracy is Slow and talks about the battle between Technology and Democracy by portraying them as a pack of mice vs. a bear. You can guess who I expect will prevail.
|
The second is called Some Will Die and refers of course to the cavalier remark Trump made about men being sent to his brand new Iran war.
|
The third is called State of War and for once, is not a rhyming poem but instead a sort of additive poem, almost the opposite of a blackout poem. I have used the words State of War as a root, in order to make various observations about this particular war, but I could only sustain this rigid form for a stanza or two. Hopefully they wont be able to sustain the war much longer.

The fourth and fifth poem I may have already included in my Valentines newsletter, but if you missed them, Happy Bubble is about insulating yourself from all bad news as a coping mechanism. My fifth poem is called Erasure and deals with a more disturbing topic, White Christian Nationalism, and its distressing prevalence. The poem is voiced by someone espousing those hateful views.

Other news is that another podcast has been released, this one on FailCraft which you can find on YouTube. I have two more podcasts lined up for March and a few still being produced for later release.
