I'll try not to go on and on in this edition, as it is getting late on a Friday night and I've had a busy week.
|
I do have two new poems for you, one of which you may have already seen if you follow my Facebook Author Page, Andrea W LeDew Author. That one is called Enemy of the People, and it talks about an altercation between Our Dear President and a female White House reporter, in which He was less than respectful.
|
The second poem is called Ephemeral, and is my rather delicately-worded admonition to all, to please cool your jets, in the wake of the Charlie Kirk shooting. In the midst of this whirlwind of partisan strife in which motives are prematurely assumed and tempers flare, and a family lies broken, let us not forget that we are all countrymen (and women) and each have much to learn from the other.

As for events this week, I was a guest on two podcasts, one on Monday and one on Thursday. The first was with the podcast Authors on Mission, and will appear in six to eight weeks. The second is on a podcast called Shades of Jade. I'm not sure when that will come out. The experiences as a guest were both terrific.
|
Also this week I had the pleasure of going to a poetry reading by Andres Rojas, and a novel reading by Abel Harding, as well as a historical presentation of local dirty scoundrels, by Tim Gilmore. All took place at Happy Medium Books Cafe.
|
I signed up for a promo that has my e-book on sale from October 1st to October 31, if Halloween makes you want to download new e-books. It will be $3.99 rather than $4.99 then at all venues. Also finally my paperback cover is properly published on my Amazon page and I hope all other stores online. The good folks at Draft2Digital worked hard to fix the "No image available" message that was there before. Whew!

My audiobook recording will take place in the middle of October, so more news on that as it happens. My podcast appearances are giving me an opportunity to do a little more reading out loud of my work, so I hope to be ready. I have three more podcasts scheduled, so far. And of course, the politics keep on happening, so there's always something I can draw from, in the book, to address almost any current situation.
