A poem about national regret and the effervescent nature of both our democracy and all threats to it. The word Singularity is meant to be read in the sci-fi sense of an anomaly or existential crisis, not in the sense of nonconformity. Forgive me, if in the end, you leave the poem with a rather distasteful image from the movie, The Godfather.
